Our first week, introductions, and contest, February 1 - 7.

Welcome!
To celebrate our first week we're going to choose a winner from the posts between now and February 7. The prize is a copy of each of our books pictured here, including two by Pam Rosenthal wearing her dirtiest hat as Molly Weatherfield.

The Rules
Every time you post between now and February 7, you'll qualify to win. But it has to be a post that says something other than hello--we want to get to know you and fulfill your every need--well, almost every need. Your needs from this blog. We don't want to be a blog of shameless self-promotion, although we'll certainly blow our own horns when the occasions arise. We do want to know what interests you about the art and craft of erotic writing, history and research, and what you like to read or write.

And the really fine print: We know when you've been naughty, we know when you've been nice. Blogger tells us if you're the same person appearing with a different identity and we will search you out and... environmental concerns prevent us from sending you a lump of coal, but we'll count you only one time. We will mail the prizes only to a US address. We pick the winner using crude technology. We do not tolerate whining.

This is a cool blog. You all have such great covers shown here. My name is Melissa and I live in RI. I look forward to getting to know all of you. I enjoy reading erotic stories and I bought Alison Kent's book on how to write one. I am an aspiring writer and have lots of ideas floating about in my head.
On to next post. Everyone have a great day.

I'm Maggie from Maine via New York, Massachusetts, Ohio and Connecticut. I read and write romance when I'm not working in a high school library...where I suspect none of your books will ever find a home. I'm interested in different genres of romance, and all levels of sensuality. Love the title of your blog!

Hi all!!! First to Pam Rosenthal! I've read all your books from Brava! Just need to get the new one. Its hard to make a favorite but I think The Bookseller's Daughter was the most unique! They are auto buys!! Great to see you here.
And Hi too to Celia!! I just got MADE FOR SIN! I love the erotic historicals!! So now its fab that you too write these books. Along having Pam's and yours, more to read! I just love the historicals for all the beauty of the culture, dressing, rules (and breaking of them) and all. its nice to get away from the 'now' time to go back to the regency, or victiorian times, etc.
I'm Cathie by the way! Married 23 years to my hero :) Really a great guy! I have two teens, one who goes off to college this Sept and its looking to be a full scholarship (rather that, then him stuck with loans later on) He's deaf as I and his father is. He's going for computer, really a bright young man. My daughter is the hearing one here and does better with working which she is doing now and still with us. I'm in Buffalo NY where we are under the Blizzars of Lake Effect snow right now (and i'm under blankets on a laptop typing this!
I think I chatted too much but thrilled to be here!

Well put, Cathie. I think that's one of the great appeal of erotic historicals, breaking the rules!

Hello, my name is Jenny Rappaport, and I work as a literary agent at the L. Perkins Agency. Before you ladies tremble with fear, I have no intentions of trying to steal you away from your current loving agents.

I'm here strictly as a reader, since I liked Janet's regency so much that I followed her here, even though I'm not entirely comfy with reading erotica. That said, I know that I'm not going to be able to resist a Jane Lockwood book, since it'll be by the same author.

So welcome, ladies, and let the games begin! May you have much happy and healthy blogging success.

Hey Jenny,
thanks for coming over to visit and dipping your toe into the filthy waters! Hope you'll come back and visit soon, and thank you for the kind words on Dedication.

Great to meet everybody and thanks to Cathie for the kind words about Bookseller's Daughter.

My newest book, Cathie, The Slightest Provocation, is very different... different sorts of timesense, character arcs etc. Curious what you'll make of it if you get to it. Opinion has varied widely and has really been quite interesting.

Caffey said...

Pam, I'll definately be reading The Slightest Provocation soon. I have read all your others soon after they came out as well. I thought that each book of yours that I have read already are very unique each so I'm looking forward to it! I'll post here or at your site when I do.

My kind of tea party!

I'm Jenn, I live on an island and I'm just starting to write trashy historicals under the name Seeley deBorn.

I think I've read something by just about everyone here, and I'm so looking forward to more!
